Our Commitment to Price Transparency
Receiving medical bills following surgery can be overwhelming. At The Orthpaedic Surgery Center, our goal is to work with you before you have surgery, to review your expected charges and address your questions and concerns.
The surgeon, the anesthesiologist, and our facility each have separate fees. The bill from the “Facility” covers the charges for The Orthopaedic Surgery Center. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the bill for the “Facility”, please contact us at 330-758-1065.
Insurance Cards and Co-Payments / Deductibles
Please bring your insurance card to your appointment so that we may make a copy. If you are an existing patient, it is important that we have the “most current” copy of your insurance card.
Co-payments are required at the time of service. Most traditional forms of payment are accepted, including MasterCard, Visa, check and cash. For questions regarding high deductible payment and/or payment plans, please contact our office directly.
We will submit charges from your visit to your insurance carrier(s). Please keep in mind that you, as the patient, are ultimately responsible for your bill. Our billing department will be glad to answer any questions or concerns regarding your insurance and billing.
Participating Insurance Providers
We participate as In‐Network providers with many insurance companies. Please note that this is only a partial list. If you do not see your insurance company listed, please contact us to determine if we participate in your In‐Network benefits plan.

Good Faith Estimates for Uninsured and Self-Pay Patients
If you’re uninsured or a self-pay patient (do not have health insurance), OSC is required to provide you with an estimate of expected charges before you get an item or service. This is called a “Good Faith Estimate” to patients who do not have health insurance or who are electing to not use their insurance. Providers and Facilities must provide you with a good faith estimate upon request or after you schedule an item or service. The Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of items or services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on the information known at the time the estimate was created.
The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur.
To learn more about this requirement, go to www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or
call 800-985-3059.
Financial Counseling
If you receive a bill from The Orthopaedic Surgery Center, it will include a list of charges for services you received at our facility. Our team may work with you days before your scheduled surgery to review your estimated charges based on the services that will be provided. Our financial team will ask every patient to pay their co‐pay, deductible, and co‐insurance at the time of their scheduled surgery. After your claim has been processed by the insurance provider, we will send you a final bill. This should match the EOB or “explanation of benefits” you receive from your insurance provider.
Pay Online
Pay My Bill is a secure electronic service that allows patients to pay bills online quickly and conveniently. OSC’s online bill pay allows patients to make a secure, one-time payment with a credit card, checking account, or savings account.
All you need to make an online payment is copy of the statement you want to pay and your OSC account number which you will find on your account statement. For your convenience, you have 24/7 access to make online payments on your account.
